An incredible group of #WishHeroes will be taking on the 2024 TCS London Marathon on the 21st April to grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses.

Story

In June this year I got sepsis, 4 weeks after giving birth. Being 191 miles from home, very unwell was the scariest thing I’ve experienced. It made me realise how valuable life is. I need to do everything I want to do now as you never know when it will be too late! I don’t run - but a marathon is on my bucket list so why not start now! I didn’t get a ballot place but Make A Wish kindly chose me to run for them. I’m so grateful for them as it allows me to tick another thing off my bucket list whilst also helping make a difference. I do need to raise £2,500 which is the cost of a full wish for a child.

Make-A-Wish® UK grant life-changing wishes for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. Sadly, the number of wish enquiries from seriously ill children with less than a year to live is rising fast. They need help to meet this urgent demand now - before it’s too late. For families with critically ill children, every day counts. Your support has the power to make a wish come true for a critically ill child, allowing families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.
