Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As of December 2017, I will start training in the hope that come the 10th March 2018 I'll be able to not fall flat on my face in front of a huge crowd of onlookers. Why? Because I'm an Ambassador for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice and am passionate about supporting them in continuing to deliver outstanding palliative care to people of all ages and support to their families (over 1200 of them every year), whilst also providing a vital education service to health and social care professionals.

The hospice receives £1.9million in funding annually from the NHS and depends on the generosity of supporters and the community to raise the supplementary £3.1million in voluntary donations (that's a mammoth effort and testament to their incredible team). This money is needed each year so that PPWH can maintain its invaluable services for the people of Glasgow.

About (A Little Less) Strictly Come Dancing:

Now in its eighth year, this is PPWH's major annual fundraising event. Based on the top hit BBC Televison show, the event is hosted by Carol Smillie and features the 18 piece Syd Lawrence Orchestra who will provide the soundtrack to the evening.  Eight former Scottish ballroom dance champions will partner with contestants from the world of business, TV and radio.  There is also a special performance by guest dancers from the BBC show.
