Fundraising for Mesothelioma UK
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you will know, in May this year my husband Caleb was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, a rare cancer more commonly known as asbestos cancer.
Mesothelioma UK is a charity that until recently we had never heard of, but now find ourselves benefiting hugely from their knowledge, expertise and support. Especially the support of a Mesothelioma Nurse Specialist at Papworth hospital funded by Mesothelioma UK.
As well as supporting patients and their families Mesothelioma UK fund education, research and trials into this asbestos cancer. Their aim is also to raise the profile of mesothelioma to help prevent future cases of asbestos related disease. They rely entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising activities to fund their services.
On September 2nd 2017, with the help of my friend and running buddy Lorraine Fernie, I will be running my first (and possibly last!) half marathon. I will be running for Mesothelioma UK. Both we and they would be very grateful for any donation that you could give.
