Surrey Search & Rescue is a voluntary specialist search team which assists the emergency services find missing vulnerable adults and children. We are on-call 24 hours a day, with a team of 80+ people and search dogs, to respond across Surrey and surrounding areas.

Story

Funds raised will be shared with the Canterbury Care Mental Health drop-in centre in Guildford, where I provide massage therapy.  This wonderful voluntary facility cares for socially isolated adults and individuals struggling with mental health issues.

SURSAR is close to my heart since they valiantly searched for a dear friend & rugby coach in the River Wey last year and as a result, one of our close friends now volunteers for them in a quest to save lives.

I hope this little swim will raise much needed funds for these two courageous causes, it will certainly motivate me to train harder and swim faster in the chilly Channel!
