Story

Following on from our successful Three Peaks challenge last year, in which we raised over £7000 for St Barnabas House, Chatsmore Catholic High School have set themselves a brand new challenge - to trek up 9 of the tallest peaks in Wales, each of them over 3000ft,  to raise money for Guild Care.  Our team of 10 students and 6 staff will aim to complete the challenge between the 14th to 16th June 2019.  The students taking part are Poppy Birks, Zane Cooledge, Sophie Geale, William Martin, Nojus Paulauskas, Sam Reed, Matty Smith, Silas Turner, Millie White and Johnny Woods. The team will be driving from school to Wales on the evening of the 13th June, ready to make a prompt start Friday morning.  We aim to cover at least 9 of the 15 peaks that stand over 3000ft in Wales, the weather will play a big part - let us hope for blue skies for the majority of the weekend. We will return to Chatsmore the Sunday evening to 'celebrate' (rest).

Students and staff have already started fundraising.  On Sunday 2nd June staff from Chatsmore; Mr Bell, Mr Hibbert, Mr Clarke, Mrs House, Miss Hughes and Mrs Godfrey will be taking part in the Worthing 10k run.  Further fundraisers include organised sporting events, a Year 10/11 Sponsored Sleepout , Year 7/8 Stopover,  amongst bag packing at supermarkets, in our aim to reach the target of £5000 for Guild Care; a charity that has reached out to and supported so many friends, relatives and loved ones.

If you could help contribute to this amazing charity, by any means possible, it would be gratefully received. You can either donate using this JustGiving page or go to the school website www.chathigh.co.uk and click on the link to Wisepay, and then click on fundraising.

Wish us luck!
