Story
In January 2017, my then five-year old cousin Isita was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma. Since then, she has been treated in Great Ormond Street Hospital by an amazing team of doctors and nurses who are performing miracles with her and so many other children. However, further research is needed to learn more about how to treat and cure this aggressive type of cancer.
I have therefore decided to raise money for this much needed research with the help of my family. Throughout the month of July, we are swimming the length of the River Mole (80 km/50 miles) which runs past our house in Surrey (We will cover the distance in a pool, not the actual river, which means that we will need to swim 3,200 lengths in a 25 metre pool).
I would be immensely grateful for your kind support and donations for this truly worthy cause. It will ensure that young children suffering from Neuroblastoma may receive the treatment they so desperately need and go on to lead long and healthy lives.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Cecily
