This year’s Virtual Kiltwalk Weekend marks the anniversary of the birth of one of Celtic’s greatest ever figures. ‘Willie Maley was his name.....’ 🎶 Born on April 25, 1868 in Newry, in the north of Ireland, Maley went on to become a true Celtic legend. Therefore, the Foundation’s Supporters’ Committee will be taking on our own special Kiltwalk challenge, in honour of the great man. Collectively, members of the Committee will be accumulating the distance from Maley’s birthplace to Celtic Park. Our virtual walk will consist of a total of 167 miles, split between the group, over the weekend of April 23-25. All funds raised will be devoted to Celtic FC Foundation’s Football for Good Fund and thanks to the incredible generosity of the Hunter Foundation, funds raised will be topped up by a wonderful 50%.
