Story
We are raising money to help the people of Ukraine
At least two million Ukrainians have fled their homes to escape conflict, and now face an uncertain future. Lives have been lost and homes have been destroyed. Healthcare, hospitals, and other key emergency services have been affected, and vital services such as water, electricity, and phone connectivity have been damaged. Many people face immediate crisis without basic supplies such as food and water.
Central Swindon North Parish Council stands with the people of Ukraine in their hour of need. To support them, we’re asking you to make a donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal to help provide aid for families fleeing the conflict.
Your donation will help by:
- Providing food, first aid, clean water, shelter, warm clothing, hygiene parcels and medicines
- Supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities
- Supporting fire fighters and civil protection units
- Training people up in life-saving first aid
- Helping families stay in contact with each other
- Educating people on the risks of explosives
- Repairing vital infrastructure
- Helping to repair homes, healthcare centres,
schools and community centres
