Story
My dad introduced me to the YMCA and signed me up for my first membership. I learned to swim at the YMCA. Ohhhh, the patience of the instructor! I also recall learning to play racquetball with my dad. I gathered the nerve to hit the ball off of the back wall. I needed to learn to duck and move because the ball quickly returned and came right back to my eye! Luckily, safety first. I was wearing goggles! Let's not forget my YMCA basketball coaching days. Not only does the YMCA teach swimming, it creates opportunities for bonding with family, memories and provides and array of services to the community.
The YMCA of Greater Houston is committed to providing opportunities for individuals of all ages and families to learn, grow and thrive, no matter their circumstances.
