I always want to test my limits and challenge myself in someway and this time I am taking on the 'Weldmar's Sahara Trek' in March 2023 so what better way to discover Africa by taking on this exciting challenge and doing lots of fundraising for this amazing charity every step of the way!

Not a day passes me by when I don't think of someone or hear of someone who has been affected by or suffered with cancer, motor neurone disease and heart disease so I want to do everything I can to support the vision and mission Weldmar Hospicecare evidently have!

Weldmar Hospicecare is a truly wonderful charity who provide specialist end of life care for adults with life limiting illnesses. Their compassionate approach supports patients and their families in the community, at home and in their hospices and all their care is provided for free! They have dedicated teams of nurses (and a very hard working Sister who I am lucky enough to have as a dear friend!) doctors, therapists, social workers and counsellors but only 21% of their funds are provided by the NHS so the rest is raised for by the this Dorset charity thanks to the support of the fabulous community.

They want to be able to.........

• Provide the highest quality care for patients living with life limiting illness
• Offer support to the families and others affected by the patients illness
• Be an active and constructive partner in health and social care community in Dorset
• Provide service free of charge
• Provide excellent working conditions and devlopment opportunities for their staff and volunteers
  

I would love to raise AS MUCH MONEY AS I CAN to ensure all people in Dorset living with terminal illnesses can have acces to the palliative care services they need, where they need it and when they need it!
