Story
During the lockdowns we got talking about how charities were suffering through lack of visitors and fundraising. We decided we wanted to fundraise and came up with the idea of a sponsored bike ride, so when booking some time off over Easter, it seemed a good opportunity to set ourselves a challenge.
Therefore.......we will be cycling the Red Squirrel Trail on the Isle of Wight - 32 miles through some beautiful (albeit sometimes hilly) IOW countryside!!
We are experienced in going as far as the bus stop most days, so this really will be a challenge for us to complete but we know if we have the support of our friends and family it will be the encouragement we need to be determined to complete this experience.
It seemed fitting that with the event being on the Island that the funds raised would benefit one of the Island charities and have chosen the Wildheart Trust who do some incredible work.
The plan is lots of snacks and charged bike lights because who knows what time we will finish! If the weather is consistently rubbish over Easter we may postpone this until later in the year as we dont want to feel permanently scarred from the experience but can guarantee we WILL do this!
We would love any support you can give
Thanks in advance
