Story
In this precarious time of this pandemic that we are living in many have been affected. There has been a sharp rise in the amount of people who now use food banks to feed their families and themselves. There is also a rise in homelessness through job loss and also a rise in domestic abuse. These are just a few of the issues that have developed out of all that is going on.
I have witnessed first hand and also take part with other volunteers in going out at night time and practically give hands on help to those who are homeless by giving food, warm clothing, toiletries and also sign posting those in domestic abuse situations or just being there to be an ear to listen.
But all of the above and much more is done by the charity The UCKG Helpcentre and your valuable contribution of a donation towards helping someone in need makes all the difference towards someone’s life.
Here are some of the works being done:
Soup kitchen: Providing food for families and individuals who cannot afford to eat.
Patient Care group: Visiting and taking care of those who are sick.
Night Angels: Going out on the streets in the middle of the night providing for the homeless.
Rescue of Dignity group: Helping families and their loved ones who are in prison by guiding them to get back on track.
-Rahab: Assisting women of domestic abuse.
Addictions Cleansing: Working with those who are heavily addicted to substances or other to overcome.
Youth Victory Group: Which is one of the largest youth groups in the UK which has transformed the lives of many youths who lost direction into upstanding citizens with flourishing careers.
The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) is a Christian Ministry and registered charity (1043985) dedicated to helping people live life to the fullest — physically, emotionally and spiritually
If you or your company would like to make a donation towards this work in helping those in need your contribution would be gladly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
