Chris & Emily's dive for dimentia page

Dive for dimentia · 1 July 2018
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2015 my wife's grandad (Ron A) suffered a bleed to the brain. This caused him to have a stroke and left him with dimentia. He has been treated in Grimsby and Scunthorpe hospitals but struggles daily from his condition. My daughter and I have decided to raise money to help support and improve the facilities in our local hospitals for all the dimentia sufferers, but we're mainly doing this for Ron A. He put his life at risk everyday at sea, working as a fishreman so feeling like we're able to give something back is a great thing. I am 55, terrifed of heights and of flying so this is not going to be something I'll find easy. (I'm the one refusing to get out of the lift at the top of Blackpool Tower!) Emily (22) has always wanted to do a skydive so she didn't have to think twice when we asked her. Emily's late nanna was also a dementia sufferer so she is doing this in her memory as well as for Ron. Emily has grown up around Ron from a young age and has seen how his world has been changed since 2015 and how his illness has affected our whole family. She is nervously looking forward to 1st July and we are both hoping we can reach our target together.
