On October 27th 2014, I will be running the Dublin marathon, which for someone who has never been a long distance runner, will be the most physically challenging thing I have ever attempted.

This challenge however is nothing compared to the physical and emotional challenges of children who have to spend time in hospital, missing their friends, family and home comforts.

As of 1st September 2014, I am 11 weeks into an 18 week marathon training program and I am running at least 30 miles per week, which will increase to 40 in the next few weeks...its getting tough now, but raising money for a truly wonderful cause is keeping me going.
