I am planning to run the London Marathon 3rd October this year (2021) for Alzheimer's Research UK. I have been preparing for this since getting my spot via a ballot entry at the start of February this year and have run 1,194 km so far this year (as of end of August 21).

Alzheimer's Research UK estimate that 850,000 people in the UK are currently living with dementia, which is projected to rise along with an aging population. They have set a target of developing a life changing treatment by 2025.
