Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is causing healthy people to suffer a sudden heart attack or cardiac arrest and doctors do not know why. Beat SCAD are funding research to find answers and save lives.

Story

A little over a week to go until my run and quite ironically for the second time this year, we as a family, have seen first hand how this condition continually affects previous sufferers. It’s well known that some patients, who’ve been subjected to coronary dissections and therefore heart attacks, maintain sporadic chest pain for which the cause is still unknown. Beat SCAD are now working to raise £64,000 for The Alice Project to fund an additional year of research by Dr Alice Wood. Every pound raised can help to keep our research pushing forward. Thank you for your support. Chris
