TCS London Marathon 2024

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
Can you imagine your journey to the local supermarket if you were unable to see?
Walking along a footpath, crossing roads, getting on a bus, getting off the bus at the right stop and then finding the entrance to the store and then getting home again?
I cannot
A Guide Dog is able to make this journey safe, but it still requires enormous courage.
Guide Dogs support people and families with sight loss in so many ways to build confidence and to make the world safe and accessible to them.
In the past, I have been a Guide Dog Volunteer training Guide Dog puppies and during that time I became passionate about the charity and the difference they make.
Foxleigh is all about building the confidence of people to succeed with difficult customers and in challenging situations. I have seen the same results for people with sight loss using a Guide Dog.
These dogs provide confidence to people to go and do things that may be impossible otherwise.
The courage that Guide Dog users show to go and explore the world together with their companion is amazing and these incredible dogs do change lives.
Please help
This year I will be running the London Marathon and doing other running events and challenges for Guide Dogs and I am asking the clients of Foxleigh to support me and Guide Dogs through donations.
Foxleigh will match the donations up to a maximum of £5000.
Thank you for your support.
About Guide Dogs
Every day, 250 more people join the 2 million already living with sight loss.
This number is set to double by 2050, which is why our work is more important than ever before, however, we can only continue our life-changing work, such as our guide and buddy dog services, mobility training, education support, sighted guides and much more with your support.
With your support, we can help children and adults to live actively, independently, and well.
How your sponsorship could help:
Guide Dogs wouldn't be here without you. Our life-changing services depend on donations so thank you for supporting us.
