In July 2021 I decided to start a piece of art work to sell/ auction to raise vital funds for my local Air ambulance service. My initial idea was to jump out of a plane but I’m not overly keen on flying so the art work was the only way forward. Hundreds of hours over a 9 month period, hundreds and hundreds of panel pins and countless numbers of glue sticks the relief art work was complete. The landscape image is of the iconic sycamore tree situated on Hadrian’s wall in Northumberland commonly known as Sycamore gap. My initial idea was to try and auction the artwork off but would it be seen again. If I can raise some cash to help keep the Helimed teams flying we’ve achieved something special. The artwork is 8feet wide  and 5 feet high, I’m looking for ideas for where we can donate the artwork to, a school, hospital or art gallery, the pictures really don’t do this piece justice,  it needs to be seen and enjoyed by all.  The Air Ambulance Service operates the local air ambulance services for Warwickshire & Northamptonshire and Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland as well as the national paediatric and neonatal transfer service, the Children’s Air Ambulance, covering the whole of the UK. The Air ambulance is a vital service which covers vast rural areas, I work in some quite remote locations as do so many industry’s in the countryside, it’s essential we keep them operating. I know a few people now who have received the excellent care from the ambulance service and this is why I try and give as much support as possibly can.
