We run national awareness campaigns to educate and create awareness of melanoma
Story
On Friday 6th June I will be one of 8 golfers teeing off at 4.30am attemtpting to play 100 holes in a day to raise funds for MELANOMA RESEARCH. By the time we finish we will have walked over 30 miles carrying our own clubs - no caddies, buggies or trolleys allowed!
Melanoma is the fastest growing cancer in the UK and kills 66% of its victims if not detected early. By 2010 one in fifty Britons will have suffered from Melanoma. The MYFANWY TOWNSEND MELANOMA RESEARCH FUND was set up in 1999 by Harry Townsend in memory of his wife and its aims are to raise awareness and to fund research to help find a cure.
Please support me by adding your name to my list of sponsors to support this very worthy cause. THANKS!
We raise awareness & educate on melanoma & other forms of skin cancer to those in sports & outdoor recreation.
We do this via our national awareness campaigns; Outdoor Kids Sun Safety Code, Sunguarding Sport, Sunguarding Outdoors & Slip! Slap! Swing!
