Football has changed the lives of many; it entertains, it delivers hope, it provides opportunity and it unites people the world over. Whether we watch, support, coach, play - and at whatever level, from grassroots to elite platforms - the beautiful game can bring beauty to us all! I love football, not simply for the game itself, but also for its incredible capacity to be a catalyst to inspire, delight and through these passions to deliver important messages and engineer essential societal change. 

The work of Tackle Africa is amazing and so very necessary. On the day, myself and some pals will be playing a lot of football to help them continue with their much needed mission statement providing sexual health education, information and services to young people through sport.

If you can spare a bob or two for this great cause, I’d be incredibly grateful (and we’ll try and bag a few goals along the way - but it’s never the winning that counts, now is it… ;-P).

We are putting our love of football to the ultimate test this summer by entering one of Tackle's Football Marathons - a unique fundraising event. Each year over 500 people take part in our regional 12-hour tournaments.Tackle uses the power and popularity of football to deliver HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services to young people on football pitches across Sub-Saharan Africa.
