We are putting our love of football to the ultimate test this summer by entering one of Tackle's Football Marathons - a unique fundraising event. Each year over 500 people take part in our regional 12-hour tournaments.

Each Football Marathon typically runs from 8am to 8pm. It’s a challenging physical feat for even the fittest of footballers, and during the course of each Football Marathon, the average player can expect to run over 40km – about the same as the London Marathon.

The money the team raises will be used to improve countless young lives across sub-Saharan Africa where ignorance and myths about HIV, and lack of access to information and services for sexual health result in over a million preventable deaths every year.
