Story
Hello, hello! It’s Chris. This month, I’m taking part in Young Epilepsy’s 26 miles in 26 days Challenge to help raise awareness and life changing funds for children and young people with epilepsy, ahead of Purple Day, 26th March, which is the International Day of Epilepsy awareness.
I’m splitting my 26 miles into two blocks of 13 - half-marathons, if you like - on the 14th and 21st March. I can’t promise I’ll be running all the way but I hope to come in at under six hours. I know, I know… I’m not a natural athlete!
Thank you for reading this far. Young Epilepsy is a charity close to my heart so if I’m close to your heart perhaps you’ll help make my blisters worthwhile.
Here’s the official bit:
No child should live in fear of their own body. Seizures can be frightening and they can leave children in pain, feeling confused and alone.Nearly every hour, another child or young person in the UK is diagnosed with epilepsy. Show your support by donating today and help stop the fear of seizures. Breakthrough treatments and day to day support can transform their lives.
