Story
In September of last year Kelvin Kirby (Dad), was taken from us all too soon as he lost his battle against an aggressive brain tumor.
Battle, fight, are all noun’s we like to use when describing people’s tenacity when facing serious/terminal illnesses, however the truth in Dad’s case was that he was not even given long odds of beating the Cancer .
Organizations such as the Prospect Hospice support people and their families with their end of life care. Maximizing the QUALITY of life experienced by all that are impacted by the eventuality of a terminal illness.
To raise money for such a worthwhile, and often overlooked organization, I will be running the 2012 Chicago Marathon in my Dad’s memory.
My ask is that you all donate as generously as your means allow, and I thank you all in advance.
In preparation for the Marathon I have, and will be running multiple races in 2012. I will do my best to keep this page updated with times and pictures for you all to have a giggle at.
