During lockdown, Ciaran became aware that people of any age can be struck by illness for no apparent reason.  As a family over the years, we have also witnessed many friends and family battle with different types of cancer.   As we took our regular bike rides around the Hertfordshire countryside, travelling ever further, the discussions led to what he could do to help those who were suffering.    

As Ciaran undertakes this distance of 120 miles, (with a nod to Captain Tom's 100 Challenge) he would like to raise awareness (and money) for the research that must first be conducted in order to help the too many people who suffer from this destructive disease.
