Waterfront Walk · 17 July 2021 ·
I wanted a small goal to focus on when we were in a National Lockdown in January and thought what better way than doing a walk with a few colleagues whilst raising money. Now for those who know me you probably have realised that being a bit tubby and having flat feet I am not up to running marathons to fundraise as others do as I would end up in a heap after the first 500 metres. So a long walk will probably be my limit especially if my flat feet give me grief. Having now got a few sponsors just letting you know that every £25 raised could provide a food parcel for 1 week for one of the people that The Whitechapel Centre supports. Thank you very much for the support and sponsorship it means a lot. Charities this last year have found it really hard raising funds but have continued their vital work. The Whitechapel Centre provides assistance, advice and a safe place for those who find themselves homeless in Liverpool. The Whitechapel Centre Outreach Team are out from 6am in the morning until late evening, walking at least 5 miles a day to support people who are sleeping rough in our city. I am showing my support by joining this 5 mile Waterfront Walk along Otterspool promenade raising sponsorship to end homelessness.
