Alopecia affects around 100,000 people in the UK, of a variety of different ages with no cure discovered. The effect of being diagnosed with alopecia can have severe impacts on mental health.

Our President, Nina, has recently been diagnosed with acute Alopecia Areata at 20 years old. It is a tough battle to face, but she has decided to put on a head shave event to remove the stigma surrounding Alopecia.

The cause of Alopecia onset has not yet been discovered, by funding Alopecia UK there will be potential for finding a cause and hopefully treatment for Alopecia.
