Story
Thank you for visiting my fund raising page.
On Thursday 4th October I will be modelling the Breast Cancer Care fashion show which will be my first time ever on a professional catwalk!
All of the models who take part in this special event, like me, have had a diagnosis of breast cancer. I’m sure that all of the models have their own stories but it has been wonderful that so many people – family, friends, work colleagues and health professionals – have given so much of their time, thoughts and care to helping me recover and move on with life. My catwalk spotlight is dedicated to every one of you with all my thanks.
The Show is an amazing occasion of fashion, fundraising and inspiration proving that you can look and feel great after a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Last year's show was a fantastic event raising over £370,000 and this money made a vital difference to Breast Cancer Care. The reality is that there are more than half a million people in the UK today who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and every year another 60,000 hear the devastating news that they have the disease. Thanks to the generosity of people like you supporting The Show, Breast Cancer Care is here for every one of us, providing expert information and skilled emotional and practical support when it's needed most. I was very lucky as a busy young woman to have found my lump through self examination and then to have been believed and followed through with professional care. So it is great that one of Breast Cancer Care’s priorities is to raise awareness and I would so encourage other young women to regularly self examine.
Thank you for sponsoring me, showing your support and spreading the word!
