The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

Save the UK's Charities. General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.

YMCA North Tyneside need your help to keep continue delivering vital services at the heart of North Tyneside.  As a charity we rely on donations and the support of our members through our Cafe, Gym and Patterdale Hall Estate, which have greatly reduced as we stay at home to save lives.  Whilst many of our staff are doing their bit at home, our Housing and Nursery Team are still in work, housing vulnerable young people and looking after the children of keyworkers.

As a Local Charity, we have been dedicated to strengthening people in our local community since 1879.  We offer Youth services, we educate people in our community, we house homeless young people and we create community through our Gym and Cafe.  With your support now, we can continue to help the people of North Tyneside to Belong, Contribute and Thrive for many years to come.

Please help us by sponsoring our 2.6 challenge, or why not join in and ask for sponsorship linking to this just page.
