We help people with ME/CFS to understand and survive their illness

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself & a couple of friends will be spending a weekend walking the length of Hadrian's Wall.

The plan is for them to star at Walls End on the Thursday with me joining them on Friday. This is so I can park the car at Bowness-on-Solway to get us home afterward.  Don't worry, I will not be missing out on the many miles, just starting my walk in a different place.

It's a not really a sponsored walk, I just thought I'd set up this page so anyone who wants to contribute to something, can.

I run a night called, and comedy group called 'Listen Me Alice'. One of number, Simon, has ME. I also know two others who suffer from this condition. It is appalling that despite the evidence so many in the medical profession refuse to acknowledge it. More work needs to be done to understand ME and help those who suffer, and believe me, they do suffer.

So here's the thing, I'm asking for donation only if you can afford it. If money is tight, then please don't go without just to be kind on here. You can still help a tremendous amount by sharing this, by looking up ME and sharing the information, and by spreading the word and letting more people know about this horrible disease.

I will keep you all updated as to how the walk is going. So for now, so long and thank you.

Peace and love.

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
