In 2012 we lost my Dad, Tom, who had suffered at the hands of this cruel disease for a number of years.

He'd never have expected me to take part in multisport events - never mind rise from the sofa at the end of 2016 to take on my first four triathlons, an aquathlon and two 10k running races between June and December 2017!

2018 will see me take part in a multitude of events: starting January 28 with the Romsey 8k race, followed by various other aquathlons, triathlons, runs and even my first half marathon!

I know it's a big challenge but with the help of my son Glenn, the grandson my Dad loved to bits, I will get there.
