Story
My name is Connor Colhoun and I am aged 23 with a progressive muscle wasting condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I am attempting a penalty shoot out to score 26 penalties in LOCKDOWN as part of the national 2.6 Challenge in place of the London Marathon for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
I will be using my Strike force chair which I use for Powerchair Football and I currently play for Clyde Powerchair Football Club. I will be completing this challenge on Friday 1st May 2020. I really know that this is a difficult time for everyone but if you can spare a small amount it would be so greatly appreciated.
Muscular Dystrophy UK like many other charities is struggling through this Covid-19 pandemic, they are finding it difficult to support those who rely heavily on them, like I do, so hundreds of people who were running the London Marathon for Muscular Dystrophy UK are doing this alternative 2.6 challenge in lockdown which involves doing anything to include the numbers 2 and 6.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for 70,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions. They are making a difference today, providing vital information and support to help people live as independently as possible. They are making a difference for tomorrow, accelerating progress in research and driving the campaign for access to emerging treatments.
