We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Every 6 minutes someone is told they're going blind. Today almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss which has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives. By 2050, that number is projected to double.

Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling dreams.

This incredible charity matches thousands of people with a sighted guide every year and also work on keeping the dogs as happy as possible and training them in the most sustainable and enjoyable way.

As someone who generally prefers dogs to most humans, this is a very important fact for me. Let's support a charity whose morals and values are in keeping with our own, whilst providing some of the world's best care and help to those who need it the most.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
