At a time when a quarter of the population experience mental health problems, the Co-op has announced a new charity partnership to support its commitment to tackle mental wellbeing for its colleagues and communities.

Story

This is the ‘parkrun, donate, nominate’ fundraising page for Co-op or NISA colleagues in Scotland, raising money for SAMH (Scottish
Association for Mental Health).

In partnership with Mind, SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Wellbeing) and Inspire, Co-op is bringing communities together to
improve mental wellbeing and as the Official Grocer of parkrun, we know how beneficial getting active outdoors can be to both physical and mental wellbeing. This is why we’re encouraging our Co-op and NISA colleagues to get involved in parkrun > donate > nominate.

By taking part in parkrun - through walking, jogging, running or volunteering at one of the 700+ weekly events or logging a (not)parkrun. Then, donating £1 (or more) to one of Co-op's charity partners and nominating a Co-op or NISA colleagues to do the same. Our colleagues could improve not only their own mental wellbeing, but that of their colleagues and community too.

If you’re a Co-op or NISA colleague in Scotland, it’s super easy to take part and raise money for SAMH. It doesn’t matter if you’re an avid
parkrunner or looking to sign up for the first time, you’ll find everything you need at coop.parkrun.org.uk

If you’re not a Co-op or NISA colleague, you can still donate to show your support of our colleagues and charity partners. 1 in 4 of
us will experience a mental health problem in any given year, and that’s why Co-op are partnering with Mind, SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health) and Inspire to raise £8m to bring communities together to improve mental wellbeing.

Together through the Co-op parkrun partnership we want to create healthier communities through exercise and healthy eating. To sign up to parkrun, if you haven't already go to www.parkrun.org.uk.
