Fundraising for Mercy House Living Centers
Story
I know this year has been particularly difficult for many people, and I only ask this out of support for those who are less fortunate or at a point of rebuilding their lives. I am the Grant Writer for Mercy House Living Centers and this holiday season, I am joining them to make a difference in my community by giving the gift of home. Our mission is to end and prevent the homelessness of those who enter our system of care and this holiday season we can make a difference by donating what we can. Mercy House is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional shelter, permanent housing, and comprehensive supportive services for a variety of homeless sub-populations which includes families, adult men and women, mothers and their children, persons living with HIV/AIDS, individuals overcoming substance addictions, and those who are physically and/or mentally disabled. If you have the ability, please help in assisting those in Southern California who are either living on the streets or in one of our shelters.

Examples of what various amounts can do within Mercy House's services are:
$10 - provides 5 meals for a client in one of our emergency shelters
$25 - provides a week of groceries for a client's family
$50 - will provide a month's buss pass for a client
$100 - provides professional attire for a client
$200 - provides 100 meals to homeless adults and children living in our emergency shelters
$200 - provides animal care including exams, vaccinations, and food to avoid owner and companion separation
