Homelessness is catastrophic and the longer a person is homeless the harder it becomes for them to get back on their feet. There are currently 10.975 people registered as homeless in Ireland and I am running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon on the 29th Oct to help end homelessness for good in Ireland. Depaul works with the most marginalised and vulnerable people in homelessness. Groups supported are men women and children, including families, women leaving prison, people residing in direct provision, young people, people with entrenched addiction issues and people suffering from mental health difficulties.
