The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThere are currently 10,975 people registered as homeless in Ireland with many hidden homeless who are not counted in the official figures. Behind each and every one of these numbers there are people and families.
Depaul works with the most marginalised and vulnerable people in homelessness. Our low threshold services are designed to be accessible to all and allow us to keep delivering services to hard-to-reach communities. Groups supported are men women and children, including families, women leaving prison, people residing in direct provision, young people, people with entrenched addiction issues and people suffering from mental health difficulties. We aim to be inclusive at all times, never exclusive, so we can keep providing services to people who need them the most.
We don't receive enough funding to cover all our costs, we need to fundraise so that people who are homeless and existing on the very fringes of our society can get the support they so desperately need.
You can help by running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon on the 30th Oct. By taking part and more importantly by fundraising you will send a strong message to your community that homelessness is unacceptable and that you want to do something positive about it.
Thank you so much for your support!
