This page has been created on behalf of the family and friends of Jane "Coyley" Johnson who are suffering the heart rending loss of a truly beautiful person.

Its purpose is to raise funds for an outstanding institution -Oakhaven Hospice. Staffed by dedicated professionals who provide specialist care to patients, carers and families who are facing complex physical, emotional and practical difficulties arising from advanced progressive life-limiting illness. Oakhaven actively respect the individual’s dignity and choices and enhance the quality of care for patients in all care settings through partnership, collaboration, advice and education.

Jane passed on Saturday 22 December 2018 at the age of just 46.

Jane had fought a 2 year battle with Motor Neurone Disease, a disease with no cure.

Jane was a truly effervescent soul and possessed a special sparkling spirit which was ever present, despite her constant battle with this brutal and cruel disease.

Jane's warmth and sparkling spirit continues and shines in the hearts of Andrew, Ellen and Danny, in the hearts of Jane's family and friends, and to everyone who has been touched by her wonderful intellect, humour, wisdom, generosity, care and compassion. Jane has given a very special legacy to us all.

Jane showed immeasurable courage and fought Motor Neurone Disease with determination and dignity every day. Oakhaven Hospice provided Jane in the last months of her life a place she could stay for short periods to garner the strength required for her to engage in family life and enjoy visiting and being visited by family members and her numerous friends. Ultimately, Oakhaven provided a beautiful environment for Jane's passing.

More About Oakhaven Hospice Trust

All of the services that the hospice offers are free for people to
access. The yearly cost of these services is around £4 million. Only 10% of this is provided by NHS funding. The balance comes from people like you and me.

Oakhaven Hospice Trust provides specialist palliative care and support to those facing life-limiting illness and their loved ones in both a home and hospice setting.

The team of specialist Oakhaven nurses, doctors, counsellors and physiotherapists ease physical symptoms and offer psychological, spiritual and social support.

Their care is tailored to suit the needs of each individual and, with a blend of expertise and compassion, the team offers support for people
when they most need it.

It costs £11,311 a day to run Oakhaven Hospice
Services in the community.      

Your donation of £53 could fund 1 hour of nursing home care.     

Your donation of £157 could fund a day’s patient
care in our day hospice.    

Your donation of £404 could fund 24 hours patient
care in our in-patient unit.
