Story
Who am I?
My name is Craig Armstrong, a 34 year old father of two boys who at the start of 2017 couldn’t run to the end of the road without breaking into a sweat. With the New Year looming I decided that I had to get myself fit, not only for my own health, but most importantly for my boys. I started training weekly and completed my first 5k run for Parkinsons UK on the 11th June.
What am I doing now?
On Sunday 24th September I will be tackling the Tough Mudder
event in South London which comprises of a 5 mile/13 obstacle course. It’s designed to test a person’s strength, stamina, mental determination and teamwork. Tough Mudder isn’t a race; it’s a challenge and a fantastic way to raise money for a great cause. With this is mind I will be running to raise money for the Magic Moments charity.
Why am I doing it?
As a father of two healthy young boys I can’t imagine a time when they are not together, laughing and playing. Unfortunately for some families this isn’t a reality and they have to face the future caring for a child with life limiting illnesses. This is where ‘Magic Moments’ can help….
Magic Moments charity is dedicated to raise money to support 12
children’s hospices around the country.
Its main aim is to take families away to Disneyland Paris every year for
a special trip to spend time together.
Sometimes families have recently been bereaved and they find support at this very difficult time absolutely invaluable.
How can you help?
Please help me to raise as much money as possible for this amazing
charity. Every little really does help so anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated. Every penny will be used to help a family make some amazing memories that will last a lifetime.
