Story
In Q1 this year, Craneware Cares is supporting Saheliya, a specialist mental health & well-being support organisation for black, minority ethnic, asylum seeker, refugee and migrant women and girls (12+) in the Edinburgh and Glasgow area.
By asking for donations in return for entry into a pub quiz, we are hoping to raise much-needed money to help this organisation support groups of women and girls who might be ignored by mainstream society. It costs:
- £25 to offer a session with a specialist case worker;
- £30 to run a creche for children of women attending classes at Saheliya,
- £47 to provide a 1 hour counselling session for 12-25 year old women.
It's not much and it makes a world of difference to these women and helps them be in control of their own lives.
