Story

THE EVENT

The Calverton Real Ale & Plough Play Preservation Society (CRAPPPS for short) is a mummers play group based in Nottinghamshire.

We've been doing our rather eccentric thing since 1979 (with the Calverton Plough Play) and  have been performing a St George's Play since 2011. You can find out more about us if you are curious / mad enough to investigate at calvertonploughplay.co.uk.

We're performing our St George's Play over the weekend of Friday 22 - Saturday 23 April 2022 in aid of the Trussell Trust. Please give generously to a wonderful cause.

THE CHARITY

Our vision is for a UK without the need for food banks. We say this because it’s not right that anyone cannot afford their own food. That’s why we are working towards a just, compassionate future, where no one should have to use a food bank to get by. Our vision is ambitious, but we know that if we work together it is possible. We can create a future where nobody goes hungry, because nobody will allow it – when we work Together for Change. #TogetherForChange

We support a nationwide network of food banks and together we provide emergency food and support to people in crisis, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks. (PLEASE NOTE: We're unable to forward funds onto individual foodbanks. All funds raised here go direct to the Trussell Trust.)
