The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

2020 marks the 30th anniversary of our Director (Leeroy) losing his sight, so this charity means a lot to us. We are working towards naming a guide dog puppy and supporting it through its first year of basic training and socialisation. This puppy will hopefully go on to be a partner for someone with sight loss and will help them to live an independent life.

Thank you again for supporting our fundraising throughout the year.

The Crassus Grab Hire team has been raising money for two charities throughout November as part of our Christmas fundraising campaign! We have been recycling all year, and our grab drivers have decided to donate their Christmas funds to two very worthwhile causes this year: Guide Dogs and Blind Veterans UK. Together with Long Eaton Scaffolding, we have raised £790 towards Guide Dogs taking our 2020 donation to £3,000. And we have raised £1,000 for Blind Veterans UK.
We would like to thank Ward Recycling’s Ilkeston Weighbridge team for their very generous support when we visited to recycle in November.

Leeroy and Clodagh Howcroft.
