Thanks for taking the time to visit our 2014 Just Giving page.
For 2014 we are not riding but paddling in aid of the Thames Valley Air Ambulance and in memory and celebration of Chris Grimmer, who through a tragic accident was suddenly taken from his family and many friends….. He would have loved this adventure.
We hope to build upon last year’s fantastic total of £2,915.00!
The trip covers 110 miles following the course of the River Thames from it’s source at Cricklade in Wiltshire and with a combination of back breaking effort and sheer dumb luck we hope to make it back home to Windsor four(ish) days later.
Paddlers this year are Harry Hunter, Dave Parenti Darren Firth and Chris Croft. We will also be joined by a motley collection of guest Canoeists throughout the trip. Our adventure is to take 4 days and 3 nights over this epic 110 miles. The trip is as much about the journey as the destination and we hope to post updates through the 4 days.
Day 1 Monday 1st June departing from Cricklade and canoeing to Witney, Oxfordshire a total of 28 Miles (which will be a feat of endurance for the 2 non-canoeists taking part!.....naming no names (Harry and Chris).
Day 2 Tuesday 2nd June a long strech Witney to Wallingford 34miles. (Total miles 62 miles)
Day 3 Wednesday 3rd June, Wallingford to Henley via the pubs of Oxford, 22 miles (Total 84 miles)
Day 4 Thursday 4th June a final run Henley to Windsor canoe club, 26 miles across (Total 110 Miles)

Just think we’re giving up 3 night’s
sleep, getting soaked bent backs and spending 4 days with all those “bloody motor boats”…………....
