Cycle for Dementia · 31 March 2027 · Start fundraising for this event

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

This September, I’m proud to be taking on the challenge of cycling 100 miles in 30 days as part of Team de Thorp, raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Our challenge begins on 7th September and finishes on 5th October.

This challenge is especially close to my heart because, alongside taking part with my colleagues, I work as a carer in a nursing home, supporting people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia every day. I’ve seen first-hand the impact these conditions have, not only on those diagnosed but also on their families and loved ones.

Every mile I ride is for the people I care for, the families who face these challenges, and everyone affected by dementia.

If you’re able to support me with a donation, no matter how big or small, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every contribution helps make a real difference in the fight against dementia.

Thank you for supporting me, Team de Thorp, and this fantastic cause! 🚴💙
