🚴💙 Tour de Thorp – 100 Miles for Alzheimer's Society 💙🚴

A dedicated team of carers, proudly calling themselves Tour de Thorp, are taking on an incredible challenge to cycle 100 miles in 28 days to raise money for #AlzheimerSociety.

Their journey begins on 7th September and finishes on 5th October, when they'll complete their final miles at Thorp House Care Home.

Every mile they ride is in support of a cause that touches so many lives. One in three people born today will develop dementia during their lifetime. Around 1 million people in the UK are currently living with dementia, and this number is expected to rise to 1.4 million by 2040. More than 70,800 people are living with young onset dementia, where symptoms develop before the age of 65, and around 70% of people living in care homes in England have dementia or severe memory problems.
