Story
I always joked to Gramps that one day I'd run the London Marathon. He used to laugh at me, and he told me that in life I should go do the things I want to do because no ones going to do them for me. So after many applications I finally have a spot to run in 2018, on behalf of St Johns Ambulance. It's a shame he's not here to see, but I know full well he'll be laughing at how unfit I've become. In the last 12 months I've raised over £2500 for charity, become a father (developed a lovely dad bod), passed a few exams and now I'm attempting to run a marathon.
This is an amazing charity who offer so much support to everyone all over.
St John Ambulance is the nation’s leading first aid charity.
Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through their training programmes, including hundreds of thousands of young people. They offer first aid training to help support everyone - including you. Whether you are in your office or out and about, the more first aiders we have the better chance you have should something go wrong. St John volunteers provide first aid in communities, keeping people safe at events, and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls.
