This year, I’m taking on the 2026 TCS London Marathon in memory of our son, Aran Chetan Varsani and in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC), a place forever stitched into our story.

This year will mark 15 years since our beautiful son Aran gained his wings. A lifetime and a heartbeat all at once. Aran is still with us, in the quiet moments, in the milestones, in the way time keeps moving even when part of your heart stays behind.

Running 26.2 miles feels small compared to the strength Aran showed, but it feels right this year. Every mile is for him. Every step carries love, loss, pride, and hope side by side.

Childhood should be special. A time of joy, wonder, curiosity, and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But childhood is also fragile and sometimes, all too brief.

That’s why GOSHCC exists. To help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner, and longer. To support children from across the UK treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, children with rare and complex illnesses everywhere, and generations still to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.
