Fundraising for Cancer Research UK
Story
Some of you may or may not already know that I have recently been getting off my arse and starting to train through the week whilst cutting the calories and eating a healthier diet, after stepping on the scales and being too heavy for them to record my weight I decided enough was enough and with the help and hard work of my friend, PT and coach Liam Woods I have already lost 2 Stone going into my 7th week of training.
This is the beginning of what will be a long journey with plenty of ups and downs along the way, it’s taken me a long time to deliberate and come to terms with sharing my current weight of 30st 12 with the public, but I feel it’s the only way to face the problem and start the fight! With the support of friends and family my goal is to shed the weight whilst raising money for Cancer Research because without them I wouldn’t be here today and as a leukaemia survivor being this heavy is an insult to all their hard work for which I will be forever in their debt.
With this massive undertaking there will be massive sacrifice not only my beloved scrans but no festivals, stag doos and much more which I know my friends will agree will kill me but I know they will back me.
So for every 1lb that I lose I’m asking you to donate 1 pound and for every 1b gained I will donate 1pound myself or just donate as much or as little as you can afford, even if you just get behind the cause you’re doing your bit and I will be doing mine!
It’s easy to neglect my weight but when there’s a chance to help others it becomes a different ball game doesn’t it.
Different goals will be set along the way and there will be weekly weigh ins on that naughty step (scales).
The support and donations from you great people will keep me motivated and on track!
So if you see the big man with a sneaky pie feel free to slap it out my hand and remind me we’ve got money to raise, goals to reach and lives to save!!
