As a group of 7, we have chosen to each walk 72 miles cumulatively over September to replicate one of the journeys, albeit in a more forgiving environment, that a refugee must undertake to escape the difficulties they experience like the Syrian war through no fault of their own. In this case, the 72 miles is equivalent to the distance between Damascus and Beirut .
