Story
I MADE IT!!
In May 2008 I am cycled from London to Paris to raise money for Help the Hospices. This meant riding a backside breaking 400km over 3 days, with day 3 being a particularly tough 160km (equivalent to 100 miles).
The UK’s 200 plus Hospices provide a unique level of care for adults and children who are near the end of their life and /or chronically ill. Yet, they only receive a third of their funding from the Government. To continue to provide this care in our local community each year, Hospices have to raise around 67% of their funds from charitable donations by people like you and I.
The Towergate Partnership has enabled Help the Hospices to create an ‘Innovations in Fund Raising Grant Fund’. This provides Grants of up to £10k to help hospices launch new, innovative ways of raising money. Whilst Towergate’s funding is generous it is not enough. My aim is to add another £10k to this fund to help more hospices launch more fund raising schemes that will provide them with the long term source of income they need.
For personal / family reasons I would love to more than double this and raise £25,000. In order to achieve this I would be very grateful for any donation, whatever the size. So, please give what you can and help me to raise as much money as possible (don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box if you can)!
Thank you all in advance
