Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
I will be 80 years old in August and I have been a triathlete since I was 50 which is getting on for 30 years. Obviously, because of my own age, (fast approaching 80), I am a very suitable person to be doing something special to raise money and awareness for Age UK West Sussex. I will be competing in Ironman 70.3 Haugesund, Norway which involves a 1900 metre lake swim a 90 km undulating bike ride a 20km run then in the ITU World Triathlon Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland 1500 metre swim 40km bike and 10km run.
At the start of the 2019 season I will attempt to complete the 5000 metre National Swimathon on all three days that it is held at the new 'Wave' swimming and sport centre in Littlehampton as soon as it opens.
That will be 15,000 metres that is roughly 10 miles. My husband will also complete most of the events this year where we hope to raise money and awareness for the good work of Age uk West Sussex.
